Site Rules, Jubilee Olde English Faire, June 20-22, 2008
Please cooperate with the Event Staff at all times. If you have any questions, please direct them to Event Staff.
Signing the waiver certifies that you have read, understood, and accepted the rules. Violation of the rules will result in summary ejection from the event. Please do not force us to eject you.
Please bring a valid picture ID, or driver’s license with picture, to show at Troll. Those unable to provide valid identification will be refused entry to the site. The only valid site token is a Troll-issued, properly-colored wristband. Anything else should be considered a door prize. You should be prepared to show your wristband at the request of event staff.
Parents will be held responsible for the actions of their children. Persons under 18 years of age will not be permitted to camp without their parent or legal guardian on site.
Troll-issued parking tags and tent tags should be displayed with your number clearly visible. Bring a tent, as you will not be permitted to camp in a vehicle or trailer. If your vehicle leaves the site, be aware that Illinois state law prohibits driving with items blocking any portion of the windshield.
The site opens at 12PM (noon) Friday, when Troll opens - please plan your time of arrival accordingly. The County Police have requested that no persons or vehicles line up on the roads leading into the park, so if you arrive early, expect to be asked to find someplace else to wait. Any person on site before that time without the specific permission of the Autocrat is trespassing and will be summarily ejected from the SCA camping area for the duration of Jubilee 2008 - no exceptions.
The Faire officially opens to the public at 10AM Saturday and closes at 5PM, reopens at 10AM Sunday and closes at 5PM. While the Faire is closed to the public, event staff will ask any person who is within the designated SCA camping areas and who is not able to display a valid site token to report immediately to Troll to obtain a valid site token, or to depart the park premises immediately.
As this is an SCA event, it is expected that participants make an effort to wear appropriate garb (16th-century or earlier period) at all times. Participants without garb of their own should borrow (and wear) "loaner garb" obtained from friends or from the Chatelaine of the Barony of Illiton.
The SCA camping area of the Faire site is designated "discreetly damp". Event staff will ask any persons openly displaying/carrying alcoholic beverages to transfer the alcohol to a more discreet container. The legal drinking age in Illinois is 21.
No pets of any kind are permitted within the SCA encampment.
No ground fires. Small raised fires must be kept at least 10 feet from any tent. Take all unused wood with you when you leave.
Do not leave at your camp site.
Quiet Hours will be enforced throughout the SCA camping area from 12AM-8AM every night.
We have designated a "noisy area"
Area H
, which will enjoy a 2-hour extension of merrymaking privileges from 12AM-2AM on Friday and Saturday nights. Be mindful of your noise tolerance when choosing your campsite.
